There are a wide variety of school grants in Wyoming. These grants are based on a variety of criteria, and if you meet these criteria then you are eligible to receive financial assistance.
If you live in the state of Wyoming, then you may be eligible for the Hathaway Memorial Scholarship . The Hathaway Memorial Scholarship is based on merit (good GPA and good ACT/SAT scores) and financial need. Students living in Wyoming attending a state university or community college can receive up to $1,600 per semester through this scholarship which can be applied for directly from your school financial aid office. The Hathaway Memorial Scholarship was established in the name of a former governor .
The Duvas Memorial Scholarship is based on merit and on financial need. The number of awards given each year varies, and the maximum value of the award is $500. Students must be Wyoming residents who are graduating high school seniors planning to enroll in a college or university in Wyoming. Students have to be first generation Americans, i.e., students born in the U.S.A. whose parents were born in another country. The due date for the scholarship is April 20th. The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarships are federally funded, and they are awarded based on merit to Wyoming students planning to attend a college or university. The award amount is $1,500., and you must have a good GPA and good ACT/SAT scores. The County Commissioners’ Scholarship is awarded to residents of Wyoming, according to County, to meet the tuition and fees needs of students attending University of Wyoming or a Wyoming community college. The Northern Arapaho Tribal Scholarship is for members of this tribe who need financial aid for enrolling at any Wyoming community college or university. An application form can be obtained from: Sky People Higher Education, P.O. Box 8480, Ethete, WY 82520 (University of Wyoming, 2010).
The Shoshone Tribal Scholarship is for members of this particular tribe who have financial need and want to attend any Wyoming community college or university. Applicants should contact the Shoshone Higher Education Program, P.O. Box 628, Fort Washakie, WY 82514, at least six weeks before the beginning of the school year .

NASA Space Grant Wyoming Undergraduate Research Fellowship
This grant is open to undergraduates who are studying science, astronomy or a related field at accredited postsecondary schools in the state. Those who wish to apply for this grant funding must be enrolled either on a full-time or part-time basis at a college or university. All of the money for research projects undertaken by those who are approved for this grant is available through the Wyoming Space Grant program.
Travel Grants
The American Heritage Center which is located at the University of Wyoming is offering grants to students who wish to conduct research for the Heritage Center. The grant money can be used to help pay for food, lodging and travel during the period of time for which the work is underway.
Fulbright Student Grant
If you are an American citizen and already possess a bachelor’s degree then you may qualify for the Fulbright Student Grant. This grant program is open to University of Wyoming students who are looking for opportunities to study or research abroad. It is also open to those looking to teach English abroad. The aim of this grant is to increase mutual understanding among the nations throughout the world through such avenues as cultural and educational exchanges.
American Heritage Center Teaching and Research Grants
Teaching and research grants through the American Heritage Center are available to be applied for by University of Wyoming students, academic professionals, facility members, staff and recognized student organizations. To be processed promptly the application package must contain the application sheet, the applicant’s resume, the project description, the budget and a letter of recommendation from a sponsor or facility mentor if applicant is a student.
